Delivering much needed affordable rented housing for South Bucks Council
Our team created much-needed new homes for local people in Tatling End, Gerrards Cross, for South Bucks District Council.
To do this, demolished existing homes and an old police station yo make way for the 34 modern homes that provide bright and spacious accommodation for people; delivering all aimed at delivering housing that meets all needs, including affordable rented housing and accommodation for homeless families.
Of the 34 apartments, 20 are one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments available for private rent, with the remaining 14 two-bedroom apartments let at affordable sub-market rent.
Richard Davidson, director (new business), from our North London and the East office:
“We care about delivering affordable, high quality homes as well as ensuring every project we undertake leaves a positive impact. It's been great working closely with South Bucks District Council to deliver these much needed homes; it followed on from our work recently for St Albans District Council where our collaborative approach helped meet the local housing need."
The homes are located just off the A40 Oxford Road which allows easy access to amenities such as schools, shops, medical facilities, leisure sites, work opportunities and has excellent transport links to the motorway network being two miles away from Junction 1 of the M40, providing a link to central London and the M25. Gerrards Cross and Denham railway stations are less than two miles away providing fast and frequent services to London Marylebone.
SBDC Councillor Barbara Gibbs, portfolio holder for resources:
“Helping people in South Bucks to find a home is one of the most important things we do as a Council and this scheme is just one of the significant steps we are taking to address this issue.”
